Do you charge by the hour?

Yes. Our rates are hourly and based on crew size: $100/hour for 2 movers, $130/hour for 3 movers, and $150/hour for 4 movers. A one-time $150 truck fee applies when we provide the truck.

Is there a minimum?

There is a 3-hour minimum on every job. After the minimum, time is billed in the increments quoted for your move, so you only pay for what you use.

Are you licensed and insured?

Yes. KJ'S Moving Company is fully licensed and insured. We're happy to provide proof of coverage to you, your landlord, or your building management before move day.

Question 4

How do I prepare for my move?

Have boxes packed and sealed, clear walkways, reserve elevators or parking if your building requires it, and set aside anything you'd rather transport yourself. If you'd like us to pack for you, just add packing service when you book.

What forms of payment do you accept?

Accepted Answer

We accept all major credit and debit cards, plus cash. Online bookings are secured with a $200 deposit paid securely through Square, and the balance is due at the end of the move.

Question 6

Do you move pianos or safes?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Pianos, safes, gun cabinets and other heavy specialty items are handled by our crew with the proper straps, dollies and padding. Let us know in advance so we can bring the right equipment.
